Sponsorship and Membership Options

Sponsorship is a clear way that you can support North Korean refugees. FSI depends on contributions from sponsors who support our vision of creating learning opportunities in which North Korean refugees have the autonomy of choosing how they will learn. When you support FSI, you have the opportunity to get directly involved either as a tutor or coach for North Korean refugees or as a staffer helping to build the organization’s capacity. In recent years, with the support of donors and fundraisers, we have been able to help numerous North Korean refugees achieve their goals in life. You can be a sponsor by making a financial contribution at our crowd-funding site, creating a fundraiser at Facebook, and/or engaging in fundraising for FSI. (Check here for more donation options) such as PayPal, our US bank account.

FSI is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit in the USA and has similar status in South Korea (한국에서 기부금지정단체로 지정됨). We gleefully and cheerfully issue tax donation receipts to donors at the end of the year and also upon request. Plus, if you become a FSI Member, you can get goodies, such as books autographed by North Korean refugees who have studied in FSI.
